Are you ready for the OOTP Predictions for April 11 2019? First, let's recap the predictions for April 10 2019.
Perhaps the biggest surprise is that Washington won by such a wide lead. Philadelphia was predicted to win but the strength indicator was close to 1. That means the teams were evenly match according to the simulator.
There should have been 14 games played but Atlanta vs. Colorado was postponed. So the simulator predict 7 out of 13 games correctly.
Cleveland was predicted to win over Detroit. But, if you have been noticing the way Detroit has been playing lately, it isn't too surprising that the Tigers won. As of right now, they are first in their division.
San Diego vs. San Francisco could have gone either way based on the strength indicator. The Padres took the game. It wasn't a huge difference in the score, though.
The New York Mets should have won against the Minnesota Twins as was predicted by the simulator, and they did win.

The biggest surprise for me is the simulator picking Boston over Toronto. It's not that Toronto is a better team necessarily. It's that Boston is having a difficult time getting their act together. The simulator also picked Boston with a strength indicator of over 1.4. I can probably accept that the module predicted Boston (sort of) but not as strong as it did. We'll see how this game plays out.
I know I'm a bit biased here (big Mets fan!) but playing against the Braves could go either way. I report what I see but I can't help but hope the Mets win this one.
Enjoy the picks!
